About Silversea Cruises

Silversea was launched in 1994 by the Lefebvre family of Rome and the Vlasov Group of Monaco. This ultra-luxury cruise liner has its headquarters in Monaco. Since 2020, Silversea Cruises has been owned by Royal Caribbean International.

Their first ship, Silver Cloud, started its service in April 1994. The second cruise ship, Silver Wind, entered the service in January 1995. Silversea started its expedition division by acquiring the 144-passenger expedition World Discoverer in 2007. The ship was later renamed as Silver Explorer.
