How to Pay and Tip on Board

Gratuities on Carnival Cruise Line are automatically credited to guests' onboard accounts for every room. They will be distributed to the crew, including the stateroom attendants, dining and culinary services staff, and other members.

The recommended onboard gratuities for standard staterooms are $16/day per person, and for suite staterooms, it's $18/day per person. This is inapplicable for passengers under two years of age. There is also an 18% service charge applied for beverage purchases.

Payments for the daily gratuity are accepted in two ways: Pre-Pay and Sail & Sign®. You can use Pre-Pay at the time of booking your cruise or any day or time up to your sailing date. If you booked directly using the Carnival.com website, you could add the gratuities from the website. If you booked your travel with an agent, then you may have to contact your travel agent to add the pre-paid gratuities to your booking. Your pre-paid gratuities can be viewed from your confirmation and guest's E-Documents in the 'Miscellaneous Charge' field.

If you didn't use Pre-Pay, the Sail & Sign® is the next option to pay. The recommended per-person amount shall be charged to the Sail & Sign account on the second to last day of the cruise. The problems you experience on the cruise will be solved by the Guest Service Desk.
