About Explora Journeys

Explora Journeys was founded in 2021 as a luxury cruise line division for the MSC Group. Explora I, which was the first cruise ship of the cruise line, completed its sea trials in April 2023. The ship began its first cruise on 1 August 2023, with its departure from Copenhagen. The second ship, Explora II, set sail in 2024. MSC Group announced an order for six ships, and the deliveries of all the ships will be completed by 2028. To experience the 'Ocean State of Mind,' you can book your cruise trip with Explora Journeys.

Enhanced onboard connectivity by Starlink is available on all the cruise ships of Explora Journeys. This ensures stable high-speed internet and Wi-Fi connection in all suites and public spaces. All Explora Journeys cruise ships offer complimentary Wi-Fi. Keep in mind that the onboard Wi-Fi connectivity depends on the satellite positioning and can be unstable depending on the navigation area, weather conditions, or other technical restrictions that are beyond the control of the cruise ship authorities.

Smoking Policy

Explora Journeys permits smoking in designated outdoor locations. You are not permitted to smoke in the suites or on the suite terraces.

• Deck 11 – Forward, Port Side, Cigar Lounge (Cigars only)
• Deck 12 – Forward, Port Side, Cigar section of Helios Bar

Alcohol Policy

Here's what you need to know about the alcohol policy:

• The drinking age onboard is either 18 or 21. A 21-year age limit applies to sailings from a North American Port or ports based in that region (Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, and the US). The 18-year age limit applies to all other worldwide itineraries.
• The drinking age applies to the whole journey and won't be changed mid-journey.
• Minors are not allowed to use alcoholic drinks while onboard.

Laundry

Laundry services that are available to you depend on the type of accommodation you choose. If you choose Ocean Grand Terrace suites, you will get one bag of laundry per suite, and if you choose Ocean Residences, you will get complimentary laundry and pressing services.

Currency

The Euro is the permitted currency onboard.

Dress Code

The suggested style of clothing onboard is elegant resort casual style.

The types of clothing that are not permitted are:

• Swimwear and bathrobes for the whole day in any of the restaurants and indoor bars & lounges.
• Shorts and sleeveless t-shirts in Anthology, Fil Rouge during dinner time (6 pm - late).
• Baseball caps and sportswear in Anthology, Fil Rouge, Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, and Med Yacht Club.
